Bradley P. Knypstra
Mr. Knypstra is one of the rare breed of attorneys that look forward to taking your case to trial if necessary. Mr. Knypstra believes that you have to be committed to take a client’s case as far as necessary to protect their rights.
Mr. Knypstra is incredibly passionate in his quest for your rights. He is one of the few attorneys in the nation that have been trained at the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. Gerry Spence gained national fame as an attorney best known for never losing a criminal case, nor a civil case, since 1969 (he was inducted into the American Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame in 2009). Mr. Knypstra has been practicing Law for over 19 years, and completed his training with Mr. Spence in 2010. Mr. Knypstra has recently tried over 25 cases to verdict.

Mr. Knypstra earned is Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton. Immediately after college, he worked for an accounting firm in Newport Beach performing audits and tax assignments for local businesses. He ultimately, received his law degree from Western State University, College of Law in 1994. He was accepted into the California State Bar in 1995.
Mr. Knypstra is a member of the National Board of Trial Advocacy, American Association for Justice, Million Dollar Advocates Forum, as well as the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Mr. Hermes is a native of Orange County, avid athlete, and brings with him a background of business, accounting, and real estate to his legal practice. Mr. Hermes received his education at University of California Santa Barbara where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Accounting. From there he worked as the accountant for a real estate company in Seattle, WA, managing the financials for large-scale homeowners associations and commercial properties and supporting the operations and management of the company.
Mr. Hermes then earned his Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School where he graduated summa cum laude and served as the executive editor for the law review. Mr. Hermes is licensed to practice law in the State of California; U.S. District Court, Central District of California; and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Hermes’ background affords him the ability to understand the big picture of complex business transactions, as well as efficiently uncover the details in the financials that led to the breakdown of a business deal or relationship.
His ability to understand the operations and financials of a company saves his clients’ time and money that would otherwise be needed to educate lawyers without business and accounting backgrounds.
Mr. Hermes is also an avid cyclist, trail runner, mountaineer, and telemark skier.
Robert A. Zermeno
Robert A. Zermeno is a proven trial lawyer who represents plaintiffs in personal injury, employment, and business litigation claims. He has been licensed to practice law in California since 2005. In addition to first chair and second chair trial experience, Mr. Zermeno has substantial experience assisting clients with risk management, contract formation and negotiation and construction law.
Mr. Zermeno is an expert in all phases of litigation and case management. He has taken hundreds of depositions including plaintiffs, defendants, expert witnesses and corporate officers and has handled the defense at deposition of physicians, employers, employees, corporate officers and expert witnesses. He has successfully resolved hundreds of claims through arbitrations, mediations, informal settlement negotiations and dismissals for corporations, individuals and professionals. He has been designated as a Southern California Super Lawyer in civil litigation and a “Rising Star” in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 (reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40).
Prior to joining Knypstra Hermes, Mr. Zermeno served as a shareholder/partner at an international civil litigation defense firm with a success record of over 95 percent in cases that reached a jury verdict conclusion. In 2019, Mr. Zermeno joined Knypstra Hermes as a partner after he realized his passion was not in defending insurance companies, but rather working for those injured by wrongdoing. Mr. Zermeno’s extensive experience working for defense firms provides him with a unique perspective in relation to the tactics and strategies implemented by insurance companies, corporations, and defense attorneys. This experience allows Mr. Zermeno to represent plaintiffs more effectively and obtain the best possible results.

Mr. Zermeno is admitted to practice in California and is admitted to the United States District Court of the Central District of California. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, and American Bar Association. While in law school, Mr. Zermeno participated in the International and Comparative Law Study Abroad Program at L’Université de Nice, where he was a student of the late United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. When not practicing law, Mr. Zermeno enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He lives in Orange County with his wife and two children.

Jason J. Fratts
Jason is a seasoned litigator with over 16 years of experience handling a variety of matters including complex business disputes, trade secret litigation, insurance recovery and subrogation matters, and commercial litigation.
Jason attended college at the University of California, San Diego (B.A., 1998, Provost’s Honors) and earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of San Diego in 2002, where he was a member of the Land Use Clinic and received high honors in Negotiation as well as Ethics. Jason is also a veteran of the United States Navy, where he earned numerous service awards.
Jason was previously a partner within a regional law firm with over 25 attorneys – Murtaugh, Meyer Nelson & Treglia LLP (now Murtaugh Deilly Stern, et al.) Jason’s practice primarily focuses on commercial and insurance litigation including recovery and subrogation litigation. In this regard, Jason has extensive experience handling catastrophic losses involving fires and floods, transportation, cargo, construction, and product defects. Jason often handles claims from the outset and is adept at assembling teams of experts and marshaling evidence.

In recent years, Jason has litigated 100’s of product liability claims, acting as co-lead and liaison counsel in multiple complex coordinated proceedings involving defective products. His results include multiple 7-figure verdicts, aggregate recoveries in the 8-figure range, and multiple defense decisions.
In addition to litigation, Jason has counseled many businesses over the years, and acts as general counsel for several local businesses in Orange County, where he is prized for being pragmatic, candid, and efficient.
Jason is a member of NASP and the American Bar Association. He resides in Orange County and his pastimes include surfing, snowboarding, and playing classical guitar.
Maggie Simoneaux-Cuaso, Esq.
Attorney Maggie R. Simoneaux-Cuaso earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with minors in Economics and Spanish from the University of New Orleans in 2003. She was awarded her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Western State College of Law in 2008. During law school, she served as the Year in Review Editor for the Western State College of Law Law Review and graduated in the top five percent of her class. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2008, Louisiana State Bar in 2009, and Texas State Bar in 2016. Attorney Maggie R. Simoneaux-Cuaso is admitted to practice in the state courts of California, Louisiana, and Texas, as well as, the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Prior to committing her practice exclusively to real estate law, Attorney Maggie R. Simoneaux-Cuaso experienced tremendous success as a civil litigator representing clients in ERISA, personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, class action, and family law cases.
Attorney Maggie R. Simoneaux-Cuaso has successfully represented clients at trial, mediation and binding arbitration.
Since dedicating her practice exclusively to real estate law, Attorney Maggie R.
